First - You must accept that you are a sinner.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
"As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one." Romans 3:10
Second - You must accept that as a sinner, you owe a penalty.
"For the wages of sin is death..." Romans 6:23
"the soul that sins, it shall die" Ezekiel 18:4
Third - You must accept that Jesus Christ has already paid our sin debt.
"For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly" Romans 5:6
Jesus said to him "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me."
John 14:6
Fourth - You must repent of your sin and accept by faith what Jesus Christ has done for you.
"for whosoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved" Roman 10:13
"...but (God) now commands all men everywhere to repent" Acts 17:30
